John is a tourism & hospitality marketing consultant. He holds a PhD on the impacts of social media on consumer behaviour in the context of holiday travel (Bournemouth University), an MSc in Tourism Marketing (University of Surrey), and a BSc in Business Administration (American College of Greece). He has over 20 years of industry experience, both in senior marketing roles and as a consultant in a range of tourism & hospitality sectors. John participated in a number of consulting projects as a member of Bournemouth University’s eTourism Lab, the International Centre of Tourism & Hospitality Research, and of BU’s Digital Hub of Experts. As a lecturer, he taught undergraduate and postgraduate marketing courses in Leeds Metropolitan and Bournemouth University. In 2016 the International Federation of Information Technology and Travel & Tourism (IFITT) awarded him the "PhD Thesis Excellence Award - 1st Place". He is co-founder and director of Novus Mind Ltd, a business consulting firm assisting organizations to develop and to implement results oriented marketing strategies and programs. Since 2021 he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).
